A Case Report of Mandibular Fracture Involving Osteomyelitis

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of 21 years old man´s mandibular fracture involving chronic osteomyelitis has been presented. The man was traumatized by violence about one month ago, and then he has not been treated since the time of accident.
On the lateral jaw films, the fracture line has been revealed at the region between the lower right
canine and first premolar and sequester in the mandibular inferior border beneath the apex of premolars. I could treat the mandibular fracture involving chronic osteomyelitis by means of sequestrectomy and
intermaxillary wiring with the Winter´s arch bar and rubber bands for about 2 months after
